Health and Safety standards form part of a formal management system to manage Safety, Health , Environment and Engineering. The standards are aimed at minimising the risk to people and the environment and also cover the development, marketing, supply and use of INEOS Silicas products.

The standards apply internationally but are supported by instructions at a local level. The local instructions allow for working practices to be established taking account of specific hazards and any variations in legal requirements that may exist between countries.

Continuous improvement in Health and Safety is very important to the Company. We have included a number of standards to support this belief. These include Health and Safety improvement plans, performance targets and formal mechanisms for the reporting, investigation and communication of best practice.

People are key to the success of INEOS Silicas. Health and Safety Standards ensure all employees receive appropriate training, thereby allowing them to effectively contribute to the Health and Safety improvement process as well as understanding the importance of their own behaviour.

Health and Safety standards and local site instructions are subject to regular review via a comprehensive auditing program.
