INEOS Silicas in Eijsden is a specialty chemical manufacturer of Silicates and Zeolites .

Site History
The site in Eijsden, was purchased in 1983 from Zinkwit Nederland BV by Unilever. Since that time we have firmly expanded and it now produces with a team of 160 employees, more than 250 000 tons of Zeolites and Silicates annually. The silicates and zeolites produced in Eijsden are used in: fabric washing, machine dishwashing, in civil engineering, in the paper industry and in a large number of other sectors such as the chemical, ceramic and pharmaceutical industries.

Focus on the customer is one of the main priorities for INEOS Silicas. Consequently, the marketing and sales departments maintain a close eye on the wishes of the customers in search of new and improved products. All of the products are extensively checked for their quality where we maintain a sophisticated laboratory for this purpose. The research department investigates new applications for our products and develops new products. In addition, the application laboratory develops tests in order to improve our evaluation of fabric washing and dish washing products.

We in Eijsden use state of the art technology in the area of process control. The production is controlled by automated systems and the company uses the sophisticated integrated SAP-system.

We are one of the leading companies in environmental, safety and quality affairs in the Dutch chemical industry, receiving full certification for Safety, Environment and Health.

Product Capabilities
Silicates, also known as waterglass, were first produced in the 19th century. Over time production processes have achieved a higher level of sophistication, resulting in a wider portfolio consisting of liquid, powder and granulated silicates.

Zeolites have been introduced on a worldwide basis as an environmentally friendly builder for applications in detergents as a substitute for phosphates.The tradename is DOUCIL 4A. The improved P-type Zeolite, which INEOS Silicas produces under the brand name DOUCIL A24 has even better properties for usage in a range of detergent formulations.

Magnesium silicates for various applications, as e.g. polyol refining, anti-acid, bleach stabilizer in detergents and flow aid.
